Foods That Cause Hair Loss

In an earlier psot, I introduced you to some foods that can stop hair loss and promote hair growth. You should also know that there are foods that can CAUSE HAIR LOSS. These foods are best avoided. Foods that cause hair loss are:

  • high-sugar
  • high-fat
  • high-salt
  • alcohol
  • caffeine
High sugar foods fuel the ageing process and can induce hair loss. Consumption of excess fat can replace essential proteins that are essential for healthy hair.

Foods high in salt increase hypertension and reduce blood flow to the scalp in turn causing hair loss.Excess alcohol consumption can reduce the zinc content in our body causing hair loss. Zinc is essential to the growth of healthy hair.

Too much caffeine can induce stress. It has been found that people who are stressed out experience more hair loss than those who don't.

Fight Male Hair Loss With Food

Food is medicine. A lot of male hair loss occur because of unhealthy lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits. To a large extent, a healthy lifestyle and eating habits can prevent hair loss and even help in regrowing hair. Food is not the complete remedy for hair loss, but it is important to regularly eat food that promote hair growth if you are suffering from male hair loss.

Here I have listed foods that promote hair growth and how. It is not that you have to go on a diet that contains the below listed food alone; it's just that including these foods in your diet will be good.

Fish: Fish has essential fatty acids and is a good source of protein. They are important in keeping your hair healthy. Regular intake of fish also has several other health benefits. If you are a vegetarian/vegan, there is no need to worry; there's more.

Citrus fruits: Citrus fruits contain vitamin C. Vitamin C helps your body absorb iron better. It also promotes the generation of collagen, which fuels hair growth.

Almonds: Almonds are excellent for hair growth. They also help reduce cholestrol and are, therefore, good for your heart.

Soy beans: Soy beans are an excellent source of iron and vitamin E. iron improves blood production and increases blood flow to the scalp. Vitamin E helps in better absorption of oxygen and improves blood flow to your scalp helping you regrow hair.

Dark green vegetables: All dark green vegetables are good for male hair growth. These vegetables are excellent sources of vitamin A and vitamin C. These nutrients promote the natural growth of healthy hair.

Include these foods in your daily diet for healthy hair and a healthy body. More updates coming soon.

Dandruff Treatment At Home Using Boric Powder

Dandruff is a major cause of male hair loss. Most men can prevent baldness and reverse hair loss if only they make sure they have no dandruff. The habit of good hair care is rare amopng men. Most dandruff can be cured by regularly using an anti-dandruff shampoo. Mild dandruff will disappear in less than a week's time if used regularly.

Herbal shampoos are best. What you should keep in mind while using a shampoo are two things:

1. Don't leave shampoo on your scalp for too long. Apply shampoo on wet hair, massage for 3-4 minutes and wash away with clean water.

2. Wash thoroughly and make sure that no traces of shampoo is left in your hair.

How to cure extreme dandruff

If you are suffering from extreme dandruff i.e. you wash your hair using shampoo regularly, but the dandruff shows no signs of disappearing, here is a simple solution. Buy some boric powder. Take a pinch of boric powder and mix it with your shampoo. Ideally, a pinch of boric powder in 100 ml of shampoo. use this shampoo and wash your hair.

You will see the dandruff disappearing in about 4-5 days. use it for a week and then continue using shampoo without mixing boric powder. To stop hair loss and start the growth of new hair, you should first stop dandruff. Excess dandruff can even lead to acne and pimples on your face, neck and chest.

How Often To Shampoo Hair?

One question most men ask is how often should I shampoo my hair? Would shampooing cause hair growth or hair loss? Firstly, you should understand the problem that you are facing with respect to your hair. If you are facing hair loss due to dandruff, you better shampoo!

Regular use of shampoo can help prevent dandruff. If your hair loss is due to dandruff, the hair loss will end with the use of a shampoo. If your hair loss is due to other reasons, I'd not recommend using shampoo very often. Shampoo is good for dandruff because it acts as a disinfectant. And, use of chemicals too often on your scalp is not good for hair growth.

What shampoo to use and how

If you are hell bent on using a shampoo, I'd recommend using a mild, herbal shampoo. Some people have the habit of leaving the shampoo on their scalp for a long time. This habit is best avoided. Apply shampoo on wet hair, massage on scalp gently and rinse thoroughly. This is how you should use a shampoo. Using shampoo too often and leaving them on your scalp for too long can weaken your hair roots.

Instead of shampoos, you can use home-made preparations like green gram powder, groundnut powder, or thaali. Thaali is available in most Indian shops. If the hair oil you use is good enough, you won't even need a shampoo. I'll write another post soon telling you how to prepare the best hair oil at home. These herbal preparations clean your scalp, nourish your hair without causing any damage.

Onion Juice To Regrow Hair And Reverse Hair Loss Naturally

Most of us ignore easily-available, inexpensive remedies to male hair loss and baldness. I do not know if it is because they are inexpensive. There is a common notion ingrained in the subconscious of most people that the more expensive the better. Therefore, lot of gentlemen undergo risky, expensive treatments to cure baldness and hair loss. The results might be okay. Why spend a lot of money and settle for okay results when you can spend no money and get amazing results!

In this blog post, I'll introduce you to using onions for curing male hair loss and reversing baldness. The use of onion on your scalp will
  • nourish your hair
  • prevent all fungal and bacterial infections on your scalp
  • strengethens your hair
  • open up all blocked hair follicles
  • stimulates regrowth of hair on your scalp
How to use

Peel off the onion's outer and extract juice from the inner red part of the onion. You can either extract the juice using a mixer or squeeze by hand to extract juice. I prefer the second method.

Now, filter out the small solid particles. If you are using a cloth to filter it out, squeeze the cloth to extract more juice from wha tis filtered out. Now, you have a clean liquid extract.

Apply it to your scalp, not on your hairs, gently and massage it. Keep massaging for ten minutes and wash away with water. Do this everyday and within a few weeks, you will notice a big difference. Onion is especially helpful for people who lost hair due to alopecia.
